After six games, Nesbitt has 501 rushing yards and 843 passing yards. Thus he is on pace for about 1000 yards rushing and about 1700 passing in our 12 regular season games. We have some defenses on our schedule that we should be able to have success against. If he stays healthy and plays a postseason game (or two), it is actually quite possible for him to meet the 1000/2000 goal that CPJ mentioned prior to the season. If he does that, does he deserve to be in the Heisman discussion? At least get some honorable mention??

Did Woody get one at Clemson when he went 2000/1000?

I don't think that Nesbitt will either. Maybe next year, but doubtfull, too much bias against GT.
 
If we win the ACC he and does get those stats then yes, he should get some honorable mention. Just have to wait and see.

Dantzler wasn't even in contention. The Heisman is about preseason hype and then having a national championship team. If we drubbed up a bunch of heisman hype over the off season and then had an amazing season led by Josh he would have a shot.

FWIW I looked up the stats of Crouch and Frazier a few months back and their prime, heisman type, years their numbers seemed to be around 1500/1000.
