Orwin smith! This is HUGE. We beat out Alabama, Auburn and clemson for this stud Runningback!

What are our chances of getting Demond Dennis, as well? Kid looks fast.

Just saw that we gave him an offer and it dounds like he is high on Tech.
 
Think theres a very good chance we get him. He better jump on board though before the class fills up.

Smith is also a specifically good fit for the system, he's an extremely tough runner, he blocks and he's smart (also a Vandy recruit as well as Auburn, Alabama & Clemson)

matter of fact...Vandy was his runner-up. Funny how GT and Vandy fell ahead of Alabama, Auburn, and Clemson! Have to love it!

This kid has moves...and his lightning quick off the snap....a fearless runner that hits the hole with reckless abandon.

Scout doesn't have him ranked highly, but he's got loads of offers from good schools, which makes me think Scout might not have ranked him properly.

So anyway, YAY, MORE WARM BODIES!

ESPN gives him a 78. That would make him the highest rated A-back (out of high school).

Yeah and I expect this to happen more often in the future for us. If we keep succeeding, it is an easy choice in my opinion (but I am obviously biased). You can play for a successful coach, with grateful fans, in a major city (i.e. there is more to do than cow-tipping), and you get a highly respected degree when you graduate.

Vandy is in Nashville, which is a fairly big city (have a little more than cow-tipping there) and the degree is respected as well. I mean I love Tech, but Vandy is no UGAg.
 
Ive heard when scout updates there rankings he will be a 4 star. Not that it really matters though.
 
He has BIG TIME offers, and we landed him.

You've got to believe that he will get some immediate PT.

Yea i agree. Although our backfield will be STACKED next year. A BACK- Jonthan Dwyer will play some here. Same with Anthony Allen. Then we have Embry Peeples, Lucas Cox, Marcus Wright, Roddy Jones, Greg Smith, Jon Lockhart, Orwin Smith, And probably Jemea Thomas.
 
B BACK- The great Dwyer, Anthony Allen, Quincy Kelly, Richard Watson, and Lucas Cox if needed.
 
I think Drummond will move to Defense.
