Malcom munroe loved his visit to unc said it was a 8 out of 10. He also stated he had no clear leader and it is going to be a hard choice with us and unc. Coach pj will have a inhome with him wednesday. Uzzi just back from alabama and liked it. He will be visting us next week. Also i think we are out of it for matt roark.
 
also jt floyd liked his visit to gt and said he meet dave wommack who he knew from when wommack was at usc. He said michigan and ole rocky top are still one and twp but we have a chance pj will do a in home thursday.

Why do you think this? I read the Scout update and he said he is still interested in setting up a visit. Still think it's a long shot but I don't see how we are out of it - at least based on the scout update.

exactly...there are lots of weird interviews with Roark all about the same time (AJC, Rivals, Scout). Just yesterday Roark himself said he had been trying to set up a visit to GT. He is also trying to honor his other visits. I get the feeling we are behind with him...not sure if by design or not.

Visits this weekend went well with DL Joe Jones (VT, Maryland, and Tennessee) and DB JT Floyd (GT, Michigan, and Tennessee). We locked in all 8 committed visitors including McRae who will now not visit NCState.

Rashaad Reid has now picked up an offer from West Virginia in addition to Arkansas, NCState, South Florida, etc....but claims he is still solid to GT. We will see if he actually visits anywhere.
 
I am from Kennesaw and went to North Cobb. I have seen Roark play many times and we need to do what ever it takes to get this kid on the Flats!! He is a great football player. I will say however GT is falling fast on his list.

What about Coley White? What is the satus with him?
 
Yeah i dont think we really have a chance at all to get roark. As for coley white we are no longer trying to get him.
 
how? He was supposed to come this weekend and went to duke instead. He hasnt set up a visit yet and i dont know when he will have a chance to come. With uzzi it is down to us and alabama. Tj pridemore is offical a gator.
 
Do you know how many times Matt has been at GT? He came to almost every home game this year on unofficial visits. GT was the leader until other schools started offering and GT never did under Gailey. Now that they have GT will shoot back up, its where he did want to go, so we still have a chance.
 
gt23, do you know somone or are these just your opinions based on what you read on the internet?
 
yes i do know someone but im sure they do not know as much as dems. I just dont think roark will come because he loves illinois. But if dems says we have im shot im sure we do.
 
The times I talked to Matt and his mother down at GT, I believed we would likely be his destination if offered, now under Gailey that wasnt going to happen as he wasnt going to be offered and since then a lot of schools offered while GT didnt, so that set us back. He likes Illinois but he is someone I think would like to be around family. At Illinois he would be a WR. He is fine playing either position but I think he wants a chance at QB. He might not end up at GT but the point was we are still in it with him and have a legit shot.
 
Thanks dems. I think it would be great to get him. I know he has high grades and school is very important to him. Dems what do our chances our of getting uzzi. I think it helps hes visitng us after alabama.
 
I think we end up with Uzzi in the end or atleast it sounds that way. It will probably come down to a last week decision. Right now just my honest opinion and guess I would put it at a 60/40 GT lead.
 
Also thanks Dems from myself. It has been hard to get good info, but if I was the head man, the last place I would want news to wind up would be the message boards. LOL If the info came out it would come from the kid's own mouth.
 
Everyone who was worried about MJ leaving early can rest assured. He came out today to discuss his intentions on staying in school.
 
Well thats great to hear. Also do you have news on where we stand with brandon thompson? He would be a great guy to get. My fear is that he is going to clemson.
 
I think were on the outside looking in with Brandon. He is definitely target #1 on our board but since the changes, I think his liking of Tech has diminished somewhat. We still have a shot but its a longshot.
 
Any new QB names surfacing?

Heard Tevin Washington, Roark... any chance of a previously committed QB considering changing to GT?
