Everett proctor out of north carolina. Offered him at our camp saturday. We want him at qb along with other schools like nc state illnois and virginia tech. He also plays saftey and wr. Wants to play qb in college.

Any relation to Will Proctor?

I hope PJ knows only 1 QB can play at a time. At this rate, we'll have more QBs than linemen.

Kidding of course...

It's funny because the Quad-Option Reverse Calamari Surprise is run using more quarterbacks than lineman.

Hahahahahahaahaha. That was great. Where do you get this stuff the jacket?

As long as PJ doesn't fall in love with a true freshman QB ACC rookie of the year winner and continue to play him another three years even though his talent and judgment inexplicably degrade every year he remains at starting QB.

As long as that doesn't happen, I'm good.

the beauty of PJs system is that you can go out and recruit 4 QBs a year. Since most dual threat QBs are the athletic studs of their respective high schools, the ones who don't pan out at QB can be easily moved to S, CB, WR or A-Back.

Fear not.

Navy routinely used a 2 QB rotation to keep the starter fresh, to wear out the defense, and to cross up opposing defenses with a different look. Also, it's pretty common for QBs in this system to get their bell rung and have to come out.

When I say different look I mean each QB seems to run PJ's offense a little differently. Part of this is due to the athlete's instincts as a runner, and part of this is that PJ will change plays and reads to play to a QB's strengths. Watch some old Navy games on CSTV and talk to some of the Navy guys if you don't believe me.

One good thing about the PJ spread is it eliminates the idea that there's some prodigy on the bench that would lead us to salvation if only the coach would put him in. Any guys who can move this offense will see the field at some point.

Judging from the spring game, I'm thinking this first year's going to be rough, particularly in the first half of the season.
