A lot of good, experienced,names on the offensive sideline.

Who knows… if we score 70 points a game who cares if the other guy scores 50?

And I’m not trying to be unnecessarily cynical but unless Collins is going to be the de facto DC, then where is the allocation of resources for the defense? No offense to Thacker personally but you got your ass handed to you in a to-go container - where’s the defensive analyst?

I have no choice (neither does our offensive staff) but to assume this huge dice roll is going to work. Given that we can barely put 5 OL on the field, I’d say the odds are against it.

I want to believe. I want to be hopeful. But…

That would make for some exciting football at least. I’m more than a little nervous about our defense too. It’s time for this defensive genius (I forget what term he used) to prove himself right. Score a few more points on offense and allow a few less on defense and we win a few more.

That's how we all felt from 97-2000 lol.
 
Another offensive coach that understands football. Good move.

Lots of folks think our defense is the problem. But Zero points in the last 2 games of the season—- not even a field goal.

this is progress. I’m pleased.

Yes. Thankfully we’ve graduated from that common denominator in the 0’fers. Let’s not kid ourselves though. The defense was awful. We need to somehow generate more pressure like we did vs UNC then everything else works itself out.

Pretty apparent at this point that Collins is going to completely hand over the offense to other coaches and will closely manage the defense.

If he can get the defensive staff in place, he should do that for the defense after this year too. Focus on high level game management, recruiting, Staff instruction, etc.

Was he meddling in the offense over the past three years?
