I'm proud to say that two of my teammates got in today, Bruce Mathews and Thurman Thomas.

That's 6 total teammates now in, How lucky was I to get to play with these guys. It's very humbling to say the least.

Silly me, I forgot one, Marv Levy!

Will ya' try to make it to Canton for the induction weekend, JD? ***

I can assure you I won't get a call from the Hall.
Ya just gotta love a modest man. Well will you at least come to the Flats and be our OC for next year? I'm still itching to add a Tech man to our coaching staff.

What a bunch of goobers! Nobody asked you to kiss anybody's butt or lobby for the HOF. Strange.

Bruce Mathews hands down. A monster and one of the greatest of ALL time and a nice man. Present time people can't comprehend his achievements. One of the all time greats.

Thurman Thomas ran and ran and ran and kept on ranning!! You'd have to compare him to the juice (Buffalo/NFL) and that's not politically correct. Numbers and he earned every one. The Bills were one step away. Thurman was one step ahead.

Damn good picks!

Buzzfan........

I will be going this year. Me and my right tackle missed Jim Kelly's induction and Jim hasn't let me forget it.

I will get to watch both get in.

As gnats said I don't think anyone these days can appreciate what Bruce did during his career. he is the only lineman ever to be all pro at every position and make the pro bowl at g/c/t.

Bruce and Mike Munchak took me under their wings and lobbied hard for me to replace Kent Hill as a rookie but it just didn't work out.

I will never forget those guys, man are there some great stories and memories.

Mover,

You should let us in on the great stories. Enjoy Canton, the hall of fame is the only thing there. I used to live down the road a little ways. Congratulations to your teammates, I was born in Buffalo and it may be possible that you are more frustrated than I am, but I doubt it (you at least were paid).

What is really strange around here is the sensitivity of some of the posters, particularly when we're only having a little on-line fun with the Frig. I guess some people simply are incapable of actually telling the difference between being serious and kidding and just have to interject negative waves into the conversation. Guess it makes them feel more important than they really are.

Frig has a sense of humor, I have poked in jest and he has responded in kind. Believe it or not, his frothing brother has been as good natured, even though he has a male arse fetish (especially with his brother). We're all here for enjoyment, don't take it too seriously.

On a serious side, if you're an insurance agent with a policy for a kid named Davis who's house recently burned down, help him out. The good hands aren't the ones paying the policy.

Oh my gosh, how can there be football fans who don't appreciate what Bruce Matthews accomplished. The guy was DOMINANT. He played for 19 years and went to the pro-bowl in 14 of them, I think. To me he is one of the all-time great linemen, and I'm not THAT old either.

OK, I do know there are people who never saw him play. But really this is such a no-brainer that he should be in the Hall of Fame.

As for Thurman Thomas... the guy defined an entire category of running backs. He could do everything well. No question he is another guy who deserves to be in the HOF. I guess the question now is whether Andre Reed gets in. I'd vote for him but, and don't take this personally mover, I'd have to vote for Art Monk first. But then again I think both should be in there.

JOJATK, I agree that Art should be in before Andre. Art M. was one of my favorite players.

I hope Andre gets in and he will soon.

*GT1992, are you making fun of me? lol

How is Art Monk not in the HOF yet? that baffles me given how steady of a career he had with the skins.

fridge -- as a bills fan, I was glad to see thurman get in today. he was one of favorites growing up. that stretch he had from '89 to '93 was quite remarkable.

I hope andre gets in as well, but I suspect it may be a few more years.

No Mover, I'm primarily making fun of the man who spends more time worrying about your arse than a heterosexual sibling should. Of course if I lived in Timbuktu, maybe I would have a different opinion.;)

Re: Buzzfan........

Glad to hear that, JD!! ..and JK can just get over it! ;-)

Neighbor across the street and his wife (younger than me and even you ;-) are originally from Buffalo. Talked about how so many things in the city are disappearing....even the parks are closing. All the 'younger' folks are moving away.

Was that your impression?

Yeah, it's kind of sad to see it happening. I love Buffalo and the people and would live there if a job supported it.

A lot of the younger folks after they get out of college don't come back unless it's a family business or they start their own.

The amherst/williamsville area where I lived is growing but Downtown is dieing. They are trying to revive it with empowerment zones and tax breaks but still it's a long road to haul.

I will go up for our Alumni weekend in the fall and make the most of my 3 days there.

The thing I miss the most are my pubs and my friends that we drank with.

Hey the worst part is the hospital I was born in (Deaconess) was shut down. Try to get your birth certificate from New York from a hospital that no longer exists. I spent six months driving around Wisconsin without a license.
