Great article, I can't say enough about what I think of Giff Smith and the job he is doing.

I agree Smith is the man I am darn glad he is on our staff. I think its long overdue, for too long we simply gave talent rich South Ga to Ugag, Fl, and F$U.

However, I think the writer needs a geography lesson. He speaks of Twiggs County as south Ga, while it is very rural and poor Twiggs is next to Bibb County (Macon) in Middle Georgia! South Georgia counties are Lowndes, Clinch, Charlton, Tift, Camden, and Coffee to name a few.

Crazy, most Metros think anything south of I-20 is "South Ga".

Sad, but very true. Hopefully, with Giff at the helm of recruiting, Tech can begin to make a mark in South Ga and Middle Ga.
