Yes, I know that Rivals, Scout, and the AJC have said that we received the verbal from Josh today, but, I just heard a report on Fox 5 News that contradicts that. They said that they had spoken to Josh's parents 30 minutes ago, and he had not committed to the Jackets. Not yet, anyway...

Gets more and more interesting.

Nesbitt was interviewed on the Greene County postgame radio show and he said he was committed to Georgia Tech....this was on the Rivals premium board.

Rivals wouldn't post a story on Nesbitt's committment if he didn't in fact commit.

Here's hoping that ends up as the case. I give a bit more credit to the scouting services than Fox 5.

Holy crap, is that the ERADICATOR in your sig, Derek???

Even the morning AJC has him committing.

I've got to say this, if these guys stay true to their committment and if the ND is a harbinger for the rest of the season, then these recruiters that we have in place now have got to be named Best Recruiters Ever! The ND game doesn't give much reason for optimism for the year (and I certainly hope I'm wrong) and if these kids actually show up on the Flats next August there could be exiting days ahead - in a year or two!!

Why on earth would playing the #2 ranked team in the nation to the wire, after the best gameday experience the campus has ever had, give them any sort of optimism?

LD,
I've never gotten excited after losing to anyone and there were certainly parts of that game that need improving. BUT !!!! Alas, Overall, playing a team ranked as high as ND is, with what all GT has been thru in the last year or two, I'm not TOO disappointed and on top of that, I'm thinking GT will bounce back pretty well. Sad for any loss, but not down about it.

When the ND game played out exactly how other games did last year - coming out on fire then petering out in the second half? A OLine that no tough defense is afraid of. One that can't stand up and say on 3rd and 1 "we're gonna' run this ball run up your gut so watch out"? Where our only Red Zone offense is a fade route to Calvin Johnson in the corner of the end zone. Where our offense wastes one of the greatest receivers in the country?

Optimism? I hope to "h-e double hockey sticks" I'm wrong but I've seen this before.
