Both of us are 5-3 in the conference and how many wins do they have over top 10 teams?

[/ QUOTE ]NCAA double-standard. Winning the most games matters more than playing a respectable (OOC) schedule - unless you're undefeated (Auburn), then it matters.
 
BC is ranked higher. A win last week would have of course taken care of business, but the ugly ncsu loss looms.
 
If we had played BYU, Army, and Ball State OOC we would also be 8-3 and ranked higher than BC. Their best win overall is Clemson - we beat Clemson and 2 better teams than Clemson - both on the road.
 
Was BC in the pre season rankings? If so, that's a huge advantage for them even with their weaker schedule.
 
Boston College was ranked 22nd after the Week 1 polls came out ...although they had not yet played a game.
