1) I think we all agree that the Money Down is so far outside Tech's typical persona that it needs to go....
2) Our DL and LBers are not our problem folks. For some reason, our DB's are struggling like I have never seen before. Now with the injury to our MLB, the linebackers could be a whole lot worse however. I hope not.
3) Our OL is not awful, it just doesn't have any healthy depth. One Freshman have to be told who to block...every play! I'm sorry but I doubt this is on Key. We're just in a tough struggle to build a program.
4) God please find us two replacements for the two transfers that are our best OL.
5) I don't understand how we can't have a capable DB who can cover a receiver a little bit. We have lots of good recruits at this position and not one can come cover a guy one on one?
6) I do not like our kicking game except of course for GIBBS and the onside kicker...
7) I think Collins needs to focus on winning instead of helping a hurt player off the field. Little things matter. There are certainly times to show love for a player but making it a priority like he does when the play is awful on the field is a big mistake. Those dead periods are great to coach or devise something better that will work.
8) GT Football is in a mess right now. However, I still believe that we can turn it around next year.

No. 7 will not change.
It's all part of Coach Clown's book of sayings — they don't care how much you know until they know how much you care.
Going to an injured player is part of his core belief system. It's not going to change.
Of course, my belief system is he stinks as a game day coach.

I agree with much of this, but not so sure LB isn't a problem. They grade out terribly on PFF.

I love the concept of Money Down as a mindset. As a gameday mechanism you manufacture, it’s ööööing stupid. Especially, when you öööö with tuning chords on 3rd down to do it.

Why would chords ever matter when you also mess with stuff like running out behind the ‘Reck (probably one of the most iconic images of our program)? He wanted an NFL smoke and light tunnel entrance and only brought the ‘Reck back because of fan outrage.

We found ourselves 3-4 with 3 games coming up that I believe was crucial to the Collins regime.(VT, Miami, BC) Two games are at home. The three opponents were a combined 10-11 overall and 2-7 in conference play before this three game stretch. Win all three and we avoid a losing season and likely go to a bowl. Win 2 and I think most will be patient in the offseason. Lose two and 4-8 simply cannot be sold as evidence we are headed in the right direction Lose all three well I am not sure season tickets will sell next year without a coaching change.

My biggest disappointment with CGC. He came in known as a defensive specialist, but his defenses have been close to abysmal (in terms of defensive FEI):

2019: 93
2020: 88
2021: 94 (*Through 8 games)

To his credit, he's increased the talent on our roster. You can say that increase in talent has been wasted with no appreciable improvement in performance. In fact, at this rate, with the 5th most talented roster in the ACC according to 247 recruiting service, we are on track to have the worst DFEI in CGC's 3 years at GT.

How bad has our defense been? The worst season we had since the Bill Lewis was the HC is CPJ's 2015 3-9 season. That year our DFEI was 48. That was under Ted Roof. Remember Roof? GT fans' favorite punching bag until he left for Appalachian State. Roof actually had multiple DFEI seasons in the 40's and 50's. Ted Roof also had less talent to work with.

IMO, if you have a calling card, but you're no longer good at what your calling card is, then we have a problem. This is like if CPJ came in and our rushing offense was horrendous.

When we beat UNC early this season, and we put on one of the most dominant defensive performances GT has had in a long time, I thought we may have turned the corner. Maybe it finally clicked for our guys and we would get similar results going forward. Unfortunately, it's looking more and more like fool's gold.

I belive it is time for a new coaching staff.

Then write the check.

I didn’t make it past #2 because it is so outrageously wrong. They are all bad. We can’t get pressure with 3, 4, 5, 6, or even 7.

We are giving up 176 yards rushing per game. The front seven isn’t doing öööö against the run either.
