The worst thing about Chan is that he does not learn from mistakes. The timeouts before halftime was inexcuseable. His clock mismanagement cost us two games this year, Fresno and Clemson. I sorry for a million a year we should be able to divide by 25 seconds. Both games we had the ball at the start of the second half. We can discuss players miscues forever but time mismangement will lose you games every time.
 
Just shut up. If he ran on 4th and 1 and did make you would be saying why don't we pass the ball. The reciever was wide open and Bilbo did not execute. The right play was called period!

Don't blame this on Chan! It was BOB who wanted to play Suggs all year not Chan!

and believe me go, if Chan wanted to play Bilbo all year he would have. HE'S THE HEAD COACH!!!!!!!
 
Whoever called the last play before halftime should NEVER, EVER SET FOOT ON CAMPUS AGAIN!!

techjacket, just how do you know who made the call on 4th and 1? clairvoyant? IMO the play was there and the kids didn't execute. We hadn't exactly been blowing anybody off the ball so why would you think we had a better chance of running it than throwing it?
 
Exactly, having to rely on 4th and 1, what a mess, although failing on qb draw would have been better than than a freakin' dink pass.
 
Well ncjacket, as a head fb coach myself. When it comes down to crunchtime you better believe I'M making the calls. Not my offensive co! As is the case with many head coaches who were offensive cos!!
 
Well put Techjacket. I agree. One thing that bothers me that I wanted to ask you: What do you think of the wild hairdos that you see our players with? Is that a sign of some sort of slack team discipline to you? I think it is the HC's pro approach to the college game. Let them express themselves or something. I don't like it. Chan's approach to the game is not suited for college, IMHO.

I don't like it either fat and I don't allow my players to wear it like that during season. After season, I don't care how they wear it.
 
Fat I agree with you, I've been saying all year this bothers me. This express yourself mentality starts there and leads to bonhead reactions like the 15 yarder we got -several times this year I might add - for slugging on the sideline. Which, incidently, was after the opposing QB ran his butt over for coming up with an arm tackle.
