Wes Durham yesterday on 790AM was not even asked about last Saturday... I know there's not much to say about it from Wes' point of view but for them to not even give it a notice seems a bit strange to me...
Anyone wonder why it's been so quiet??? You'd think that DB et al snuck out of town on the 'night train'... perhaps they are trapped under all the mail they've rec'd this week...
I'm just curious that's all...

Great question - you are right on and Ive been wondering the same thing. No quotes, no comments, no apologies. Guess they are in hiding.

When something is dead and stinks like hell, you bury it deep and forget it, no?

Does anybody else feel that under CG, the information pipeline has dryed up ?

Yet, we're still supposed to show blind loyality - keep sending the $$$$ folks, but forget about getting any information on the program, and/or explanations of the worse loss to UGA in Tech history...Oh yea, keep the $$$ rolling in.....sheeesssssee

silence may be golden, after we embarras ourselves in seattle, maybe chan will do the right thing and RESIGN, RESIGN, RESIGN, RESIGN,RESIGN, MIKE STOOPS, JIMMY ROBINSON,NORM CHOW, PETER MANGURIAN, HELL, LETS RE-VISIT THE OFFENSIVE COORDINATIOR UPTHERE WITH THE FRIDGE.

This shows Braine's true character. I can't believe how quiet it has been. No one talking about the bowl game situation or Saturday. You would think Chan and Braine would be out there rallying the troops and at least making some statements especially when the bowl game you think you are supposed to play in was in jeopardy. Instead we get silence!

I can't believe this post ... a group of us were talking about this last night! Nobody on radio even mentioning what might be going on at Tech or lack there of. It really is very quiet and I believe that means something IS going on behind closed doors. I only hope that whatever it is it's for the betterment of a football program under siege for lacking of coaching ability!

Hopefully, they higher ups have taken the blinders off and proceed with positive changes.

My prediction,

Do we or don't we accept an invitation to the tire bowl....

Nothing more.

See Furman Bisher's comments today.

You remember the old adage when fuel was in short supply many years back and autos were lined up at gas stations to get a tank of gas. "You can fuel some of the people all the time, you can fuel all the people some of the time, but you cannot fuel all the people all the time.

The Silence is deafening, and it is very hard to fool all the people (fans). It is evident there are some discussions, meetings, fact finding efforts, decisions, etc. in progress. They may be inconsequential or there may be some critical matters to be solved.

I feel sure we will eventually find out some of the information, but as fans looking in, we may never know all of the situation. As all of the posters under this thread have already stated, it is unusual for no information to be coming from the football factory.

Well it bothers me, and Im not making the million bucks like Chan. Rough year? Your damn right it's been a rough year. People in charge of running a Division I Major College football program can enjoy the holidays with their families alot better if they were toasting instead of fingering the meatballs and wondering what the hell happened on the way to a 51-7 rout. As for basketball, thats all fine and well if people want to constantly bark about basketball every time a football conversation is brought up, but for me Id prefer to have a football team we can be proud of as well as our basketball team. They dont have to be mutually exclusive you know. Id say the quiet around the AA is waiting for us to stop raising hell so they can go on with the same routine they have the last 12 months that got us here. They may go away - Im not.

As to the reference about them wanting more & more $$$, I can not justify, with the exclusion of buying tickets, giving more money without knowing for sure if GO'L has paid his debt.

gnats67,

Yes, let's let everything die down and move on. True fans will forget last Saturday; 109 years from now.

It don't bother me atall. They need to let it lie. It's been a rough year, it's the holidays, the team and staff deserve some time off to be with their families, Christmas shop, whatever and they don't "owe" me a thing right now. I think we've got a pretty big BBall game on ESPN this evening...
