It can not get any worse than these past two years. We have enough disadvantages in this rivalry - to give away two in a row is ridiculous.

Our guys played hard. They deserve better. So do the students and fans. But, reality is - we've lost five in a row to the Mutts!

I am sick of our special teams. NO EXCUSE! Cover a damn punt, kick a field goal straight, make a play! Coach Gailey, please straighten out this disgrace. We are 9-2 if we have a kicking game the quality of Gwinnet High School football teams!

Our QB is a competitor. I appreciate his effort. But, end of game performance is terrible. What an unnecessary throw! He throws behind Calvin against NCSU - we lose! He throws a terrible pass to Bilbo - we lose against the Dawgs, misfiring in the final minute again this year. We must have a more poised QB at the helm.

This has been a long season. The kids have obviously worked hard. But, what a shame special teams and QB performance at the end of the game kept this from being a great season. I hate losing to these guys, but it is intolerable when we are the better team and give it to them two in a row. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/angryfire.gif

It does hurt to lose two in a row to UGA when you feel like GT had opportunities to win the game. I'm now 40 years old here during the 100th meeting of the rivalry, and during my lifetime GT has won 11 times. So from a historical standpoint, I can expect GT to win 3 out of every 10 years. I'm not saying I settle for that percentage, but that's just how it's been since 1965 (those who were around for the 50's will understandably have a different opinion).

You hate to drop games like tonight or last year, or 1997 or 1983 or 1978. Thinking back, I cannot remember back-to-back years where GT should/could have won the game and lost both.

I really felt good about tonight, with exception to the 1990 game, I had not felt this confident that I was going to get a Jacket victory since 1984.

I'm rambling now ...I'm just tired and disgusted. Not at the effort the team put forth ...that was a hell-uv-a game, but as mentioned, Tech really should have won this one.
