I sure don't get their thinking behind this move, but it's probably something like 2 Big E home gms each season for 1 away Big E gm. Beginning in 2011 ND will play 3 BE teams ea season.
This story was written by the Birmingham News in response to HC Nick Saban stating @ the Birmingham Rotary Club on Wed that he'd like to upgrade the Crimson Tide's out-of-conference schedule. Saban mentioned he'd really like to add the Fighting Irish. Saban also avered he'd like to play Penn St, Ga Tech, Oklahoma & North Carolina.
Looks like GT will have an excellent chance to continue playing Alabama & virtually no chance for a game with Notre Dame.
