Email went out to STHs with the offer to upgrade seats to sideline club level seats. We were originally 200 level end zone so worth the upgrade imo.

This "offer" is total BS. I've been in the Non-VIP section for every game we've played at MBS and now, all of the sudden, I'm not but they've got all of these great upgrades for $150 per ticket. I've emailed the head of ticket sales twice and not gotten a response. My seats are on the 48 yard line at Bobby Dodd and are about the 15 at MBS. So they've given me the non-VIP tickets in the past, but now they want me to pay to "upgrade" to those seats? Ridiculous. Typical Tech doing Tech things. Idiots.

Yeah, they can get wrecked with this “offer.” They move the best game on the home schedule to a different stadium, stick me in much öööötier seats than I have at home, and offer the opportunity to pay $150-250 to upgrade to better seats? No.

This could be J Batt's first big misstep. You've got to keep your existing season ticket holders happy. To move people to worse seats (from Bobby Dodd and prior games at MBS) and then try to upsell them is total BS. I hate going to MBS. Tough to get to, acoustics suck. Only reason I go is because my son likes the club seats with the field access area. Without those, why even go when my seats are 40 yards worse than regular "home" games.

I’m gonna go against the flow and say I’m fine with this. I ask GTAA for the club seats at MBS every year but have only received them once and never receive an explanation as to why. This way I can just pay and be done with it instead of trying to understand the mystery of tech ticketing.

For us it's worth it because we have literally the cheapest season tickets one can have. We downgraded a few years back from Lower West due to the clown and youth sports conflicts. So we pay only about $200 for the season.

If I was paying big bucks for season tickets already I would be a little pissed.

I'm not that familiar with MBS. How hard would it be for the average 62 year-old white guy to jump the divider between section 125 and the club section? Asking for a friend (who thinks that asking $150 extra per seat in a non-VIP section is kinda insulting but wants to check out the view and may settle in for a few quarters).

They seat people based on their AT Point # and hold sections to fill the allotment that the lower #s would require. The folks in those sections are already paying the increased price. If they had some left over in those section, they're doing the right thing. Sounds like a good move by Batt to make sure he has his largest donors taken care of first.

So, if they had put you there originally, are you saying you wouldn't have paid the premium price?

I missed a call from GT about a half hour ago. Probably got down to the slumming level of Tix now

I'm saying I've been in those club seats every time we've played at MBS and never had to pay an upgrade price. I could be wrong, but I don't think those originally allocated there had to pay an upgrade. They were based on who had club seats at Bobby Dodd and AT points. I have a pretty good number of AT points, which I assume is what got me there previously. I'm fine if they want to upcharge for them, but just tell us next time. My seats are going from around the 48 or so at Bobby Dodd to the 15 at MBS. That sort of ticks me off. That's not equal value in any way.

Do y'all already have your Notre Dame tickets? Half the GT emails they send me go to spam... so may have to go digging.

My ND tix are on the visitor's side corner. Aren't we the home team for this?
