USC will be Notre Dame's only big challenge this year. BC should beat them too. Other than USC, here is ND's schedule:

SD State: lost to an FCS school
Michigan: lost to an MWC school
Michigan State: lost to Cal
Purdue: off
Stanford: beat Oregon State
UNC: barely beat FCS McNeese State
Washington: got destroyed by Oregon
Pitt: lost at home to Bowling Green
BC: beat Kent, 21-0
Navy: beat I-AA Towson 41-13
Syracuse: got hammered by Northwestern

Expect to see a lot of ND homer's praising Weis for turning ND around and building another championship-quality team.

Anybody else HATE Notre Dame?

EDIT: I forgot to mention that the opponents and results were put together by ESPN. I didn't put together the list myself.

When that schedule was decided upon many years ago, it looked a lot tougher than it does now.

But I think it'll take more than a weak schedule before they start making any noise. I really enjoyed their absence from the last bowl season.

Man, I hate ND. I have a buddy here at work who is a huge ND fan and keeps talking about how they are going to win 10 games this year. IT could be possible with that schedule. It gets worse during BB season because he is a Duke BB fan. I told him the only way it could be worse is if he also rooted for UGAy.

I went to South Bend for the ND game last year and their fans were really nice. They talked about how great it was to play Tech and how they hadn't seen ND lose that bad in a while.

The good thing about visiting South Bend is that you're likely to get a little hummer joy just from walking through campus. The bad part is that it'll be from a dude...

Off topic, but Kyle, go look at the NCAA thread.

ArchiTECH was there last year, also.
The fans really were nice AND they stayed until the bitter end - seemed classy. LOTS of them said thanks for visiting, etc.

love,

After going to South Bend last year, I would take their fans over ours any day and twice on Sunday. How many opposing fans do you see in their home section against big rivals. Let's face it, the majority of our fans SUCK!

Well that's just it. 90% of their fans are fans merely because they're banking on tradition. It's easy pick a perennial top favorite and buy a t-shirt. The same guy you've described was probably a 49ers fan back in the late 80's, but has recently switched to pulling for the Patriots.

In short, he ain't a fan. He's a poseur. Maybe I'm over generalizing and he actually holds a degree there or something. But it wouldn't surprise me if he's never set foot in Indiana, and can't point out South Bend on a map.

What section were you in?

Here's a fun little tidbit. Keep in mind when he grew up.

Craig Sager asked LeBron James what his favorite teams are: Chicago Bulls, Dallas Cowboys, and New York Yankees. Craig then proceeded to ask him if he was a front-runner.

It's not the fans that I hate. It's the college. Really, it's not even the college, but the complete awe (sp?) the media and the country have for it.

Sorry they lose to USC too (The original poster already said that) and may lose to a few more. I was just saying that they will lose 4 games this year or more.
