...I think I'll throw in my $0.02 worth. I almost posted yesterday, but didn't because the post would've been based on emotion only.

What stunk?:

Bad decisions at QB. AJ never got in the groove. How many times did I watch him get sacked while running UPFIELD with NO PLAN!!???? Yes he threw some interceptions, but there were also several bad passes that hit DE's right in the numbers.....he's lucky he didn't have 10 interceptions yesterday!

He never stepped up as the leader when he got behind. Thats the one thing that made Hamilton and Godsey such great QBs, when they got in a bind, they settled down, stepped up and made the plays. Neither of those quys would've thrown that interception at the end of the game.

AJ never took the reins and picked up the pace of the game at crunch time. #14 and #11 could ALWAYS pick up the pace of the game and perform without getting sloppy. 1:30 is plenty of time to pick up the pace, but still settle down and get the job done.

Stupid mistakes and special teams blunders.....it looked like the circus had come to town at times.

What was great?:

Rhino......what a ball player.

Hollings.....what a ball player.

Lets get it done next weekend, and add yesterday to the "lessons learned" notebook.

Go Jackets!

I don't remember the post about this subject, so I will insert it in this thread.

Someone made the comment that BOB should have inserted Bilbo into the game, and I completely agree. I suspect it was BOB's decision to use Suggs exclusively, but we will probably never know.

It was stated further that he would be leaving Tech in the future if he does not play since he has a lot of talent. I agree on this issue also. If Suggs were playing great, then Bilbo would have been content, however, he will not be content if he thinks he would have done better and not given the chance to prove it.

So the poster's remark about Bilbo has some credence to it, if the same attitude persists in subsequent games.

Another thought here, and, yes, Fridge is not having a good year either, is O'Brien's influence on the QBs. Friegden is known as a developer of QBs, and BOB does not have that distinction. Maybe, Gailey, should make Nix the QB coach at this time.
