Number one reason Gaily could end up at Bama

What is the most important thing for any head coach at Alabama? Beating Auburn! One thing Gaily has proved at Tech is just that. We beat Auburn twice while Alabama has lost 5 in a row. Kind of interesting to think about.

That is true, under CCG, we have played AU twice and beaten them both times in convincing fashion. Although I can't see Chan leaving GT for an unforgiving HC job like Alabama.

Chan said on 790 that he suspects his name was brought up for the Bama job because a sportswrighter wanted to hurt our recruiting. Chan's not going anywhere.

The University of Alabama will never hire

Bama will never, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, never hire another GT coach.

Especially one that averages 5 losses per year for 5 years.

You have a grossly inflated sense of Chan's worth on an open market. He isn't a candidate for that job or any other Tier 1 position. Despite his ties to Troy, Samford and the Birmingham Fire. The reporter that wrote that is a grade a douche for hurting our recruiting.

Sure, Gailey beat Auburn twice. He also lost to his instate rival 5 in a row. They had a coach like that. His name was Shula

I heard Mark Schlabach say something about Alabama and Gailey, on 790theZone. But I do not give anything he says any credence. I believe he will say anything just to stir up Tech fans, just to get his jollys ( he is a Dawg, you know). Of course, if it would hurt Tech's effort in recruiting that would be extra incentive.
The notion of Gailey going to Alabama, or Alabama having any interest in Gailey, I believe is total B***S***.

I don't meanto take anything away from our wins over Auburn, they were great. But there is a hell of a lot of difference beating a good team at the start of the season and the end of the season.
