In the second half Reggie had no time to throw and the backs had no holes to run through.

Did someone get hurt?

Although the play calling could have been more aggressive, without the line play it didn't matter.

Can't hang this one on RB.

Same story for the last 5 years. Letting Coach Mac go to hire Coach D from Duke of all places is the worst mistake of the Gailey tenure. Unless things improve radically by the end of this month, Coach D needs to start collecting unemployment.

Th 'O' line played good in the first quarter. Definitely controlled the line of scrimmage.

The next three quarters the opposite happened...

I agree 100% on this assesment. The difference between the two teams was the O-line. Don't know what adjustments they made or if our D wore down, but they were getting a real push on O in the second half.

We didn't give the OL a chance last night IMO. We totally gave up on multiple formations, we ran the same damn play on almost every run we tried and ND figured out they didn't have to worry about anyone getting behind the LBs. The simple filled the gaps and there weren't enough guys to block everyone.

I don't think what we saw was due to poor line play. I think it was due to cutting the playbook down to about 10 plays and somehow expecting ND to be fooled. Nix was way too conservative.
