I'll make this my last Reggie post.

I never loved the guy, but I had a ton of apreciation at times.

One thing to consider. Does anybody remember why Calvin Johnson picked GT?

He had a few reasons, just like a few for picking UGA. One of his tie-breakers was that he, ''wanted to catch passes from Reggie Ball."

I actually thought it would end up like this at about the time he said it, but it doesn't change the fact that, here is just one more reason to get off the guy's back, and admit he 'did' bring a lot good to GT, along with back to back wins against Auburn and Miami, and a lot of other other accolades along the way.

ok - That was funny. Mean - but funny.

I was going to delete this post altogether, but you beat me to it. I don't know why I decided to stir this hornets nest again.

You may have a point about CJ and RB.I have never read this anywhere but will concede that if RB had been a accurate qb ,CJ would have never had a chance to make the great catches he made.Regular passer would have hurt
CJ in the draft!

It is a funny post, but don't think that Reggie helped CJ in the draft. Remember that Gator Bowl game where Calvin had a career day with Taylor? I understand WVU didn't have a great pass defense(neither did a lot of teams we played though), but that catch he made going through double coverage and over another guy was one of the greater catches of his career. Not to mention that he really didn't have many of those NCSU-like catches...scouts are impressed because of his size, speed, and propensity to catch the ball in coverage when the ball is thrown in the general area...the NCSU catch is nice, but more of a highlight than anything else.

I heard that Calvin initially wanted to go to USC but they didn't want him. Whether this is true or not, with somebody like Leinart throwing to him I think he could have gone down as one of the greatest players in college football history. It is a shame that during his career at Tech, we were completely mediocre throughout.

It's fairly obvious that Calvin likes a challenge.

*rimshot*

Oh man, that was dirty.

I think in some ways he did. All the talk is that "wow, if he could become an all american with such a wretched QB, he must be better than an all american."
