Don't you guys realize he's just yanking your chain ? I personally think he IS a Tech fan, who
happens to be obsessed with the fact that we didn't retain the staff from last year (as if thats a news bulliten

But, like Bulldog, his posts get TONS of volume, so why stop when he gets all that positive reinforcement ? What eggs him on, to continue, is the responses to his posts, and the responses are JUST as predictable as his posts (what irony).

Anyway - I've NEVER heard him bash a player -

I, for one, would be GREATLY disappointed to see him NOT be able to express his thoughts/opinions due to a lynch mob on this board....Its one thing (freedom of speech) that makes this board unique

He does have some pretty good insight and many of his posts are interesting and enlightening. His "antagonist" posts have become funny and familiar -

If his posts are so upsetting - why read them ?
Its kind of like the folks who want censorship on TV.....JUst turn the channel....

The funny thing is, if he didn't get such an overwhelming response, his posts would quickly scroll down and be gone !!! Its you guys who keep them active!

I vote to Keep Beeware - come on, you guys KNOW you'd miss him if he was gone !@

GR as much as I respect your opinions let me set some things straight. 1. He can't berate the player as that would cause him to be remove quickly. 2. He does berate other posters here and thats what got him kicked off the hive. 3. As for opinions he has one and one only, GoL was god and all associated with him are little gods so I vote him off and hope he stays off and if he were such a big Tech fan the he would have gotten on the board to defend himself.

My thought on that is how do you defend the indefendsable (sp)

Beeware is the alter ego of the masses that post here. The guy can be way out there but his rantings, as well as everybody elses, should be taken lightly. Geez, lighten up on the guy....he's really kind of funny. Just because his views are completely different than the vast majority, doesn't make him the bad guy. Maybe he's the good guy and the masses are not. Depends on your point of reference. You have to admit, he lights a fire with some of his posts and the bait seems to be taken every time.

I vote to keep him.

Oldfoggy, you're off base with #1. Beeware is far more complimentary toward our S-As than many on Stingtalk and the Hive. He is not doing so to save his own arse. His opinions are currently in the minority regarding the coaching and administration.

I think Braine's hiring record speaks for itself. Paul Hewitt - chosen over a Tech guy (Peterson) and I think we can see the direction our b-ball team is heading. Danny Hall - Braine has kept Hall and our baseball situation couldn't be better. Bruce Heppler - our golf success speaks for itself. Hired in '97 so I'm sure if he's a Braine hire or not. Our women's sports, primarily volleyball and basketball are becoming more succesful.

Braine has no reason to sabotage GT football by hiring Coach Gailey. I agree with beeware that there is a learning curve involved with the staff but I'm willing to give him/them a chance to prove themselves. They're doing a great job dealing with adversity so far. As far as recruiting is concerned, it's too early to tell how we're doing in the state of GA. I'm sure they're not abandoning the state based on the SAT study that does tell the whole story (GA has the 2nd highest % of HS students take the SAT - not just it's best students). We should not abandon LA, TX, FL and the northeast (where many of our impact players are from) just to establish a greater presence in GA. I think we'll find on signing day that all of the important recruiting states will be represented including GA.

Once again(I'm starting to repeat myself as much as BW), it's not about differing opinions.

It's about the coach and fan bashing.

And to a lesser extent, the refusal to have a mature discussion. When a question is asked, it is never answered. If a relevant comment is made, insults are thrown by BW.

Opinions are fine. But to bash your coaches constantly and then your fellow fans is totally unacceptable to me. I don't think a Tech board should allow or codone constant Tech bashing.
