@FTRSBlog
#GaTech is the only FBS team in GA this year that:

1) Won't play in a bowl game.
2) Won a game over a team currently ranked in the top 25.

Wake/GT drew a 4.0?

Plus, I thought we didn't play in the ACC Championship in 2009.

Anyone gotten the refund on the tickets bought for that game yet? Everyday for six years I trudge down to the mailbox believing my refund is there, but still not. Maybe tomorrow....

Twice as many people watched GT-Wake 2006 versus GT-Clemson 2009? The viewing public has some terrible tastes.

It would be nice if we had the time space to ourselves... Wait, ESPN wouldn't do that for us, would they???

You mean like get the other conferences to play their championship games on a different day?

Not what I mean. The SECCG was the only one that was on that timeslot. All the other games share a timeslot with another championship game. The ACC was competing against another team with significant playoff implications. The SEC was not.

But the SEC CG is under CBS's control, so the only thing ESPN could have done to make us not go up against another championship game was put us at noon, which I feel would have been even worse, especially for fans driving to the game from Chapel Hill and Clemson.

I guess they could have put us at 4 to go up against just the SECCG instead of both the PAC 12 and Big X. Not sure if that would have been better or worse for ratings. I know I would have at least been flipping between the two, whereas at 8 I just watched the full ACCCG.

I was was flipping between the Big10 and ACCCG. It was surreal.

Not really accurate, the portion of viewers in the state of Georgia was vacated.

Also, I didn't realize the rating for our game last year was so high. That's pretty awesome. Boring offense, indeed.

We were a part of the lowest and highest rated. Man, 2012...Weren't tickets going for a buck on StubHub?

2014 got the playoff bump - fans of all those teams in the running hoping for a F$U loss.

Yup. I bought one for the 10% chance that I would have been able to go (final review for studio) it didn't work out and I couldn't even give the ticket away.
