so what's the official (aka CPJ) name for our offense?

I heard option-based spread and triple-option spread mentioned so far.

My license plate says "We Run the Triple Option."

Of course, that's what I put in on the custom text field, so I'm not sure you can really consider that official....

CPJ calls it, "The Spread."

But it's vastly different from what everyone else calls "The Spread," so you're sorta stuck.

I've heard others call it the Tech Spread. you could make it the Tech Spread Option offense.

We've already had this conversation three months ago. We decided on the name "The John Holmes 'my dick is bigger than your dick' offense" which was based off of someone's suggestion that we call the offense "The Wreckbone".

I think The Hive's version of that conversation ended with the name of Wish Triple Flex, which could then be abbreviated "WTF Offense."

Although I was a big Wreckbone proponent, much to BoR's chagrin at the time, I rather like the WTF.

What's wrong with "The John Holmes offense"? It implies triple option. In the rear, in the mouth, in the cooch.

Imagine the following GT marketing campaign: "Coming to a stadium near you, Paul Johnson's John Holmes offense. Sticking it to you one play at a time."

Well, when you say it like that...

More seriously .. I've seen a few John Holmes movies, just to see what the big deal is. I gotta tell you, pretty unimpressed.

I didn't quite have this in mind when I asked about the 'CPJ official' name, but works for me.

not to brag, but i coined the Wish Triple Flex term. I have since grown a bit warmer to the term "GT3O" as in "gee tee three O".
it sounds like a fast car
it has GT in it
i alludes to a triple option
and it sounds like a star wars character
