Trae Young with 35 points and 11 assists tonight. First rookie with 35 & 10 since Steph Curry in 2010.

Hope he continues to prove me wrong (not that it's that hard to do).

Rajon Rondo proves once again to be a douchiest douche in the NBA.

Chris Paul suspended 2, Rondo 3, and Ingram 4 for their roles in fight on Friday.

Throw in Chris “Nut-Puncher” Paul for the twofer. The NBA will be a better place for about a week.

Rough game for Trae but he came up big down the stretch

Rockets are already parting ways with Carmelo. Honestly, the only teams that should be interested in Melo are teams vying for the Zion sweepstakes. He's like kryptonite to functional team basketball.

Perhaps the least surprising development in the history of the NBA, if not all of sports. I really don't understand why they signed him to begin with.

Agreed. It's not as if the key to getting past the Warriors was yet another volume shooter who plays defense intermittently.

Carmelo is essentially a three-point specialist who can’t shoot 3s. He hasn’t deserved a roster spot on any team for the last 3/4 years. The “kryptonite” reference is spot on.

Celtics-Warriors was actually a great game tonight. Refs favored Warriors down the stretch and color commentator defended their calls and called out Celtics fans for booing. Touch Thompson or Durant and they went to the line in the last three minutes. On the other end, bump Kyrie or Tatum to keep them from driving and that was a no call.

The Celtics got enough favorable refereeing from the Russell era through the Bird era that it won't be even until the year 2525

so the Hawks sit on their hands at the trade deadline and then a few days later decide to grant Lin his release to go to the Raptors. That makes sense.

Maybe they weren’t offered anything for him in trade?

Draft picks would be the only thing worth picking up for the Hawks, and I doubt they have any expendable assets that drew much attention from teams in that regard. The only players with much value are Young and Collins, and those are also the players they're trying to build around.

Frankly, the Hawks have screwed up by winning too many games and making it less likely that they'll have a shot at Zion or Barrett in the draft.

Hawks 50th anniversary uniforms tonight in gold and black. Funny that the Hawks figured out how to do gold on a single night better than any iteration Tech has been able to.

I know no one cares but this Hawks team is fun as hell. I was wrong about Trae Young. The kid can ball. Him and Collins are getting more and more fun to watch as they grow together. If the Hawks can add a KAT like player next year they can be one of the better East teams, which doesn’t mean much.

I've been pleasantly surprised by Young. Still think Doncic will be the better player, but Young doesn't appear to be the bust I thought he'd be. I just kinda wish this team had positioned themselves for a better chance at Zion. TY, Collins, and Zion would be a great young trio.
