Figured we needed a catchall thread. We're currently sitting at 6-2 with a poor SOS. But still, 5-in-a-row is something.

    #45 in the Coaches Poll
    #98 RPI

Kel and Radcliff are still cold at .261 and .211, but we've got hitting up and down the lineup again if/when they heat up.

Also for those that don't know, the majority of our games are streaming on ACC Network (WatchESPN) this year. You can see which ones aren't being streamed in the schedule link above.

Is that you Danny lining up your excuses when the results turn south again after we enter conference play?

Let's sweep UIC this weekend + beat Georgia St. to be 10-2 heading into conference play vs. Clemson.

4pm start today. Curry in the mound. Should be streamable on watchESPN.

    Good guys win 5-0!

Curry with a stellar outing - 6 innings, no runs, 5 hits, 8 Ks, 1 BB.

Coaches son Carter Hall gets the first start of his career and belts a 3-run homer.

Apparently their pitching staff is supposed to be really good, but we ate them up pretty well with 10 hits and 7 walks. Left a lot of guys on base though.

Good pitching and defense today, plus the one good inning at the plate. Enjoyed the win.

UIC scores 6 in the 9th to beat the Jackets 12-5. But GT takes the series with wins on Friday and Saturday and move to 8-3 on the season.
On a happier note, the dwags just got swept by Charleston.

Tough errors by Waddell at 3rd led to 6 unearned runs. Pitchers also had too many walks and two hit batsmen. We lost by 5 runs yet both teams had 13 hits. We had two HR’s and a double - they may have had one double.

Good news is that the staff had a decent weekend overall. Gave up 4 earned through 26 innings (not sure how many of the 9th runs today were earned). Errors are becoming an issue. Tough not having Gold/Justis anchoring the left side of the infield. Bats are there. We’ve got Kel/Radcliff hitting 6th/7th which is insane for a college lineup.

    Team has some potential.

Start a 5 game road trip against Top-10 RPI teams tonight @GA State at 5pm. They're #8 (we're at 17). Obviously RPI is fairly erratic right now with win percentages still changing dramatically from week to week.

Looks like State's RHP starter hasn't allowed a run in 9.1 innings this year (5.2 against #3 Auburn). Our website doesn't list anything, but theirs says that Chapman will be starting for us. In his only other start of the season against Dartmouth he gave up 5 hits, 2 BBs, and 4 runs in 1.2 innings of work.

Got the W 12-6. Now 9-3 heading into conference play Friday. Not bad.

We should know a lot more about this team after this weekend. Come away from Climpson with 2 wins and I'll really start drinking the Kool-Aid.

Yeah same dude. Hard to believe he shut auburn down the week before. I think it was the 4th when we had runners on 1st and 2nd and he threw something like 8 straight balls in route to walking the bases loaded and then two runs in before getting pulled. I didn’t listen to the whole game but I think Kel and McCann both had 4 walks each.

Still kind of blows my mind that Kel and Radcliffe are at the bottom of the order for us. If either/both of them wake up there aren’t going to be many lineups in the country better than us at the plate.

Found a Clemson board thread on the series for those like me who love reading what opponents say about us. Here's the highlight so far:
