Chris Archer is required to donate five balls to tomorrow’s game
With Camargo, Riley, and Culberson, I'm sure the Braves don't care if Donaldson sits for 1 day not, its likely Donaldson who doesn't want to miss a game check.
The Braves should handle the suspension like an SEC school: schedule a scrimmage against Walton High School, sit Donaldson for the first at bat of that game, call it done.
I’ve been to funerals with more excitement than Suntrust Park.
Only because they're playing your ööööty Pirates.
Grief is nature's most powerful aphrodisiac.
Is that Soroka guy supposed to be good? Pirates hitters ran a train on him.
Yeah but it's kind of hard to get excited when you're playing the Appalachian State of MLB.
What do you call what happened to Chris Archer?
Ws are always worth staying up for.
Funny. We call it a funeral too when the Pirates are in town.
In all seriousness, that Pirates team can hit...but their pitching is crap. If they had some decent pitching, they'd be big time playoff contenders.
I agree but knowing the Pirates they’re going to trade off their offense and ?build for the ?future
Yep, I found it interesting that Braves' announcers during the entire game were considering which players the Pirates might be looking to trade at the deadline and we are still about 45 days from the trade deadline of July 31.
The first month of the year they had the best ERA in the majors. Then injuries hit and we are trotting out a parade of ööööty arms. We went from the best ERA in the NL on May 1st to the worst on June 11th. Ouch. No depth. Small market life with a cheap owner. IIWII.
At this point, they should. That is the proven method to compete. Tank for 4-5 years and stockpile anything that has potential. Then hope enough pans out that you can make a run. There isn't much point in battling to see if you can make that leap from winning 73 games to maybe winning 77.
