Official 2026 Uniform Thread

Is this officially the official uniform thread, and more importantly what makes this official? I'm asking because others have mentioned they haven't received an official confirmation.
 
The football team needs helmets that look like what the baseball team is wearing rn against Auburn.

Just don’t trot out some bad uniform design like some kid designed on his XBOX in NCAA CFB 25’ game in his basement. I’m talking the bad chicken wire helmet, fish egg unis or the white helmets with gold face masks, white jerseys and dark blue pants. Crap like that. The 06/07 Russell Unis, aside from the 1990 Championship unis are by far some of the best.

This is another one you have to go way back to pre-Latin language roots. The symbol for gold is Au, which comes from the Latin aureum (gold). Pre-Latin roots go back to the definition "to shine". In other languages that root ended up referring to other metals such as brass, copper and bronze, not just the metal gold.

This is similar to Silver, whose roots are in argentum, which is attached to Mercury (quicksilver) and is based on color.

Hopefully UA can pair some gold apparel to match the helmets. Adidas threw in the towel and reverted back to their generic "sand" color (a la Russell's vegas gold).

I think it was technically called the US Army Air Corps at the time. The Air Force was established after WWII in 1947.
