You can’t prove it
Like several games recently, our second half defense has been exploited after we had held a team down in the first half. I'm not knowledgeable enough to really know why that is. Is it just taking our opponents a full half to exploit their talent advantages? Are they making adjustments in how they attack our zone after halftime and we can't compensate? Are we running out of gas and just can keep up the deeper we get into a game?
Of course things really turned south after Alvarado's quality of play declined. This occurred after his injury so I have to wonder if that is still having an effect. Of course, he and Haywood haven't been able to hit the ocean from the beach. They haven't just seen a decline in their shooting percentages, they have been downright awful shooting and both of them seem to have it in their head now.
