CPJ is to blame? Give me a reason how. Roof has a terrible defense. I udnerstand we are young, but I have nothing to complain about on offense, minus the Errin Joe false start. Did CPJ have anything to do with that?

No. No and No.

I believe CPJ has a hand in recruiting the defensive players.

UNC put a lot of points up on ND. They have a good offense. And UNC's defense played to expectations ... bad. We just need more talent on D.

We did have the talent, or at least more talent, before the season. DL was just eviscerated.

Tenuta's last defense wasn't great either in 2007. Tenuta benefited from GOL recruits and a handful of 2*'s which developed really well.

Tenuta coached a scheme that works great a school like Tech.

Roof coaches as scheme that will never work at a school like Tech.

We ran away from the NFL O, but over the past 4+ years we've tried to jam a NFL D down our throats. It's so irritating.

The defense looked poor tonight, no doubt about it. Offense looked pretty good, both running and passing. Exceptions being false start on 4 & 1, and the 3 and out in the 3rd quarter. I'm disappointed at this lose, but there are other fish to fry.

At least that's what I'm telling myself tonight, since I've been drinking. Please God, please let this defense be average or better for the rest of the season. Go Jackets!!

CPJ is the head coach. I'm not firing anyone, I think the team is just young. But every loss falls on the head honcho.

A decent point. I think Roof had more blitzes in mind last year and start of this year. Now, he's generally successful in not giving up the big play, but we have just been hit for many 10 yard plays in a row. Maybe we should go back to the scheme before the year. Might as well give up some big plays with man coverage as long as we can get some stops as well.

When UVA comes to town, we need to make sure Tenuta stays in Atlanta. I realize his ego is an issue, but god his defenses at least gave us a chance to win. 43 pts with a Tenuta defense = win every time.

Yup. This is the kind of team that is tough for us. Felt much better about Pitt, since they are a pretty bad offense.

But MTSU game didn't feel so hopeless. My dad and I were both screaming at Smelter to go out of bounds after he got the first down because we knew D would give up a TD.

Yes it did. I watched MTSU run straight between the tackles for a death march down Grant Field knowing the D couldn't stop the midget.

It's not even fun to watch your guy go in for a touchdown with this D and 3 mins left. I seriously was mad not glad. How ööööed up is that? Sad times.

The scheme we are running this year is Roof's attempt to cover up our glaring lack of personnel up front; but there is only so much shine-ola you can put on this ****.
