Thank you all for complaining about the refs favoring the Tarheels today. I am always convinced the ACC bias for them is real - today you are saying it for me. I went to ECU-UCF game today. In the Pirate Club room before the game I walked in at 17-7. ECU fans were pulling for us although one said, "I hate for Georgia Tech to carry our water for us - we should have beat these bastards ourself last week."
When Josh was thrown to the ground by Quinn just before he scored and I complained, a man that had watched most of the game told me the score should have been so much worse but that the "Carolina refs" had been at their worst all day cheating for the Heels.
When Josh scored the room erupted with cheers. One old fellow yelled out "Take that John Swofford!". There are more than just a crazy few who believe the bias favoring the North Carolina schools and UNC in particular is real.
I'm getting ready to watch the whole game now. I'm glad the bad calls won't raise my blood pressure knowing we won.
By the way, O'Leary has very little talent at UCF right now. His kids played hard but lost 19-14, scoring their last TD with a minute left.
