Good god people! Get a grip! We are 4-2, not 2-4. I'm not happy with the loss the other day, but it is not the end of the world, nor is it the end of this season.

Wake Forest is a lot better team than any of you are giving them credit for. They are a team that is very well coached, plays disciplined football, and has played many teams close (and beat several) the last 1.5 years. Were there not many people predicting Wake to be about 5th in the conference? (I was one of those people) While they aren't Miami, they also aren't Vandy. It was just a matter of time before they jumped up and beat someone good, and, unfortunately, that first someone happened to be us.

Think about everything that our team has gone through so far this year.

1. New coaching staff
2. Andy Hall transfer
3. Lose Tony Hollings for the year
4. Lose Greg Gathers for the year
5. Lose Sidney Ford for an extended period of time
6. Hobie and Poree quit team
7. Manget pulls groin

I'm sure there is more, but you get the point. I don't think any team in the country could lose their 2 best players and then go through the season unscathed.

Just because we lost a game to Wake Forest does not mean we have "no chance" (like many of you seem to believe) against NC State, FSU, and UGAg. Anything can happen between now and then, and I still believe that we can win any game left on our schedule.

Thanks for posting. Losing to Wake hurts but it's not nearly over.

I made it through the inevitable Dawg remarks today at work and I'm sure the rest of you did as well (or you're looking for employment elsewhere starting tomorrow

).

My goals have changed slightly for the rest of the season (since the ACC is most likely out of reach with 2 losses):

1) Make the best bowl possible.
2) Ruin the Dawgs season in Athens. They were breaking out the "undefeated" talk today

Now these are the Jackets fans I know!

Mathematically, we are still in it. But we have to hope for a few things elsewhere and go undefeated in the ACC from here on out. I have stated it all in my 'Out of the ACC? Maybe Not..." Thread.
.
So the pups think they'll see a 1980 repeat? I'm seeing flashes of 2000, myself.

Good post except for that stupid 'sky is falling' heading. The sky isn't falling because some people get upset about a loss and complain a little.

I agree totally when you look at all the setbacks we have had and still be in a position to win in both losses I think we have done quite well and will do better in the future.

Wake was a hungry team last Saturday as they have endured many close loses to GT over the last several years. Wake has had close loses to many teams the last year and a half since Grobe took the reins. Before Grobe, being blown out all the time was their history and trademark. On the contrary, GT was patting itself on the back all week for the "big win" over UNC instead of preparing for Wake. Tech was overconfident and not ready to play.

Tough loss this weekend to a sleeper in Wake. Those Dawg "fans" that are already talking undefeated and Nat'l Champs are Dawg Wannabees and disappear when times are tough. All teams have them. I was at UGA when Goof was there, so from that perspective, all things are good. I'm nervous as hell for the rest of the season, especially when you guys show up - hopefully (if we are fortunate enough to be undefeated), you guys will go easy on us....
