Probably dumb to onside & with 2 TOs left & that much time. What really lost it was letting Ga get outside on 4th & 2. If Tenn stops that play they have a chance to drive the field.

GTAce, couldn't agree more! The TV dudes were saying that everyone thought it was going inside run. That might be the case if it was 4th and 1 or less. With 4th and a full 2, have to believe the chances of making it up the middle were slim. The ball was going outside or pass. I was thinking play action pass actually. Guess you take your gambles, win or lose. UT lost. The UT coaches know tendencies, but can't believe they have much to go on with 4th and 2. Can't believe they were thinking the ball was going between tackles. That's sure what it seemed with the D having that many in the box.

TV announcers said they only had one T/O left so I would have tried the onsides too. The execution by ex-Jacket Newman was just poor.

I have to agree. Tennessee had been shutting everything off up the middle. It would have been stupid for UGA to try up the middle with two yards to pick up. The smart money says to take it to the side line with a pass-run option.
