Ok, I'll admit here that I was wrong...

I stated in earlier posts that Wake Forest's Skinner was a second string true frosh. Someone corrected me and said he was a second string redshirt frosh.

However, we were both wrong.. announcer said last night he was a 3rd string freshman. wow. Grobe can coach up those kids like no other. Wish we had him.

Why?

Hmmmm, lessee. Under Gailey GT has had recruiting classes ranked equal to or below Wake for 3 or 4 years in a row. But GT has finished above Wake for every year except for this one, even though our conference record was better.

Explain why you want Grobe? Seems to me Gailey is superior at coaching up the kids.

And yet he was 3rd string behind two guys who aren't nearly as good as him. They had to call a timeout when they first put him in because he didn't even know where is damn helmet was.

So does that mean Grobe coached him up, or Grobe is a horrible evaluator of talent? If Reggie fell injured in the first 3 games and Bennett started the rest of the season, would you credit Chan with "coaching kids up like no other?"

The only difference between Wake's situation and ours is we lost our QB later.

We gave Gailey hell for having TB at second string instead of starter. Grobe had Skinner at third string.......and you wish we had Grobe!

This sounds like looking for a sliver of silver in a dark cloud.
Why should little tiny Wake ever out recruit Ga Tech? They shouldn't.

We need not wear his poor recruiting of the past as a Red Badge of Courage.

Not true. Rivals rankings show the following...

06: GT 57 WF 75
05: GT 62 WF 65
04: GT 56 WF 95
03: GT 50 WF 57

GT has been ranked ahead of WF every year for a combined total of 67 spots higher over those four years.

GeeTee...you are full of crap.

If CG was at WF and did exactly as Grobe did you would be complaining that he got lucky and could not identify the correct starting QB..that Skinner only ended up starting because everyone else was hurt.

see post above. nuff said.[/quote

wrong dawgie

Wake's record since 2000:
2-9
6-5
7-6
5-7
4-7
4-7
11-3

TOTAL: 39-44

Only one bowl game in that span.

I would MUCH rather have our record during this time...and any sane person would.

wrong on what? Geeteelee said we were always ranked equal or below WF...he was wrong as I clearly showed. As for Grobe getting more talent out his qb as I originally posted. He did and there is no disputing that either. Ball all season vs Skinner all season. hmmm

So, I was wrong on what? keep trying and spinning... ;)

Don't go on what those announcers said last night. They made more than one gaff. They said Wake Forest had beaten "Georgia" for the ACC championship. They also said someting else that my 13 year old daughter picked up on that I can't remember at this point. Those announcers weren't that bright.
