Ok, so who would you call if you were DRAD?

So many people here have left Lawbee alone on his chanwagon. For those that are serious and just not letting their tempers get the best of them, who do you think DRad should go after? If he decides that making a move is the right thing to do, who should he go after? I have heard there is a "list" already in place - who is on it?

And to edit - don't turn this into a discussion about how and why somebodies pick is horrible - I am just interested to see a list of who people really want to get.

Please, that will never happen.

I don't have a favorite, but I would seriously consider finding a coach at a lower level or non BCS program who's had success and who can bring a staff with him.

Wait.. isnt Tenuta's defense the one that can't tackle? Give me a break.. He cant coach half the house...
 
I'd have Gary Patterson on the list.

However, I wonder which available asst. and HC's have recruiting experience in Georgia?
 
I would call Chan and tell him to quit losing, and let him know his job depends on beating UGA and going 8-4 regular season.

Then I'd call Tenuta and see if he wants a 1 year 'trial' at the HC job, should Chan lose to UGA. Spend that one year eating Chan's bonus or whatever, hire on one additional assistant, make someone who's not a coordinator "assistant HC" to do all the paper work, and re-evaluate after 08.
 
The used coaches market might be fairly large at the end of the season. At the high end of the market could be Wonderboy Weis at $3,000,000. At the low end, marked down to $50, there is always Tater Tot.

:laugher: The same Gary Patterson whose TCU team lost today to Wyoming who, when they beat UVA, ruined UVA's season according to so many on this board?!? The same Gary Patterson who has no ACC area recruiting connections? Who has never recruited for a school with the kinds of restrictions we have?

I really like this idea. We don't want to lose Tenuta - we know he is going to be a HC somewhere eventually, so why not give him a shot here. Only thing is - would he still call the defensive plays? I know he likes to be up high to see what the offense is showing, so how would that change things?

I think it is a good idea, also. As a matter of fact, Rad might be thinking about a mid-season change so he can see what Tenuta can do before the season ends.

I think that's a terrible idea Esso. It's exactly what Duke did that saddled them with Ted Roof. If we're going to fire Chan do it at the end of the year and let Tenuta apply if he wants while we do a national search. Maybe he's the best guy but we don't know who else might be interested. But if he wins a couple of games, especially if he was to knock of ugag, we would have the option of a search pretty much taken away from us. How would DRad hire someone else if Tenuta beat ugag?
