Any way in hell this happens if CPJ is at Tech instead of GSU?

Yes. If Paul Johnson goes 10-3 his first year, then 14-1 his second year while reaching the national title game(as he did before this bill was passed), then trust me you will not have to worry at all about a lack of recognition for him. If he then proceeds to win two straight national titles immediately afterward, as he did at Georgia Southern, the entire state and nation will be collectively fellating him and his bold choice of offense.

I pray we get a chance to find out.

After this year I expect PJ to get 10 wins every year, and no, i'm not joking.

Lets see I can count 2 or 3 Tech grads at the Gold Dome. Johnny Grant, Sen from the 25th being one Tech Alumni there. Joe Burton from Dekalb County served 30 years in House and Senate, retired recently from the office.

Answer to question, no, hell no.

I think this was an effort by the state legislature to recognize a less publicized accomplishment at IAA GSU. Wouldn't be necessary if that same accomplishment took place at Tech, a BCS school

I'm pretty sure that Bobby Ross was so honored

So why wouldn't PJ be honored that way.

I think they introduced a resolution honoring Tommy Tuberville when he went 14-0. So it's not a big deal.

Resolutions like these are common under the gold dome. Usually, one senator or representative will author it and they are unanimously approved, as part of a slate at the beginning of the day's session, without debate.

Achieving a Conference Championship at Tech would likely lead to one of these. In fact, doing anything of minor significance is appropriate for one of these resolutions. When a kid wins a Rhodes, Truman, Marshall, or Fulbright Scholarship the Senator or Rep from their district usually passes a similar resolution, although, they are not usually invited to appear. I've seen these passed for Eagle Scouts, teachers who taught for XX years, etc.

Look, I know that they have a bias against us, but a ton of them went to Georgia State (not U[sic]GA) and most politicians are happy to have their picture taken with anyone successful, even if they coach at GT.
