Old Version

dang, I've had this bookmarked for about a year now haha. Never occurred to me to post it. I LOVE the old "Jaw-gia" accents. Not redneck backwoods accents, but more like Andy Griffith's.

"But if uh had a son, suh, I tell yuh what he'd do, he'd yale tuh Hale with Geo-gia like his daddy used ta do."

There are a few extra words in the White and Gold, something like "down on ol' Sanford's farm there will be no sound".

Oh well it's up with the White and Gold
Down with the Red and the Black
Georgia Tech is out for the victory
We'll drop our battle axe on Georgia's head,
When we meet her our team will surely beat her
Down on the old farm there'll be no sound
Till our bow wows rip through the air
When the battle is over Georgia's team will be found
With the Yellow Jackets swarming around.

the aristocratic, soft Southern accent--rooted in the English of the first settlers.

Eighty years ago , and Georgia Tech had already established a standard of football excellence that we will reinforce tonight on the same field that Leonard Wood and Everett Strupper played.
