O'Leary on Auburn's short list.

O'leary is a risky hire with the whole Plancher thing still in the media.

Not a bad choice at all, but probably a step down from Tubs at this stage in both of their careers. Didn't they court him briefly in '98 after they trashed the Tater Tot?

That name still cracks me up. :laugher::laugher::laugher:

Maybe Friedgen will come back and be his OC and they have one last hurrah?
I think they would actually do well in SEC with that set up. I don't think Auburn was that bad. There's bad like Auburn was, then there's Notre Dame bad, and they aren't there yet.

I truly don't think that George is "southern" enough to fit in @ Auburn.... it's a culture, when coupled with the incomprehensible trustee and booster influence that may be too difficult for him to ever absorb.

Auburp needs a hard nosed SOB to right the ship. CGO would be a perfect fit, if Auburp was serious about competing in the SEC.

O'Leary is a perfect rebuild guy...particularly for programs that have lost their toughness.

Where he looses things is 5 or so years down the road when people start getting tired of his standard schtick...and he becomes more cantankerous.

George could prolly put up with all their ignernt crap as well as anyone.

Actually GOL would be a good fit IMO. In fact, remember all the rumors when he was here that they were after him? It's about time for him to get out of FL as well.
