Cox comes off the line clean and "cut" blocks ugag's jones and even though jones jumped up he never recovered.

When you have Cox in the "other" a-back slot you have a punishing blocker that is unaccounted for by the D. It definitely seems like ugag was a man short on all those big runs.

Cox does a great job. It is worth pointing out that Marcus Wright put some people on the ground...as well as Roddy that day with cut blocks on the DB's.

They were on fire.

This is something people don't realize about our offense. Defenses keep insisting that if they "play assignment football" we dont stand a chance. They don't realize, however, that a couple of guys on our team, that they are trying to block, are in turn trying to block someone else, thereby turning the numbers in our favor...

Even with assignment football, if the option is run correctly then you're still creating 1 on 1 match-ups between the ball carrier and a defender. That's why I believe we'll see this system work even better with GT's talent level compared to Navy's, because we're going to have advantages in the 1-1 match-ups that Navy never really did.

Playing assignment D plays right into PJ's hand

Cox is so good at being a big ole blocker and a short yardage man that I use him in EA's NCAA football 2009 haha

Watch that play in slow motion if you get a chance. Not only does Cox lay a wicked cut, but we had half our team in their backfield either blocking or running interference.
