That Fox6 and Fox24 in Birmingham are reporting it is a done deal, Tubberville to Arkansas.

Isn't Auburn a better job than Arkansas is? If this is true, it is baffling...unless Arkansas is going to pay him more than Auburn is.

TT has been fighting with the Auburn boosters for years. Just like Nutt at Ark, sometimes you just get fed up with the crap.
 
if the auburn and lsu jobs come open, someones is going to come calling for Tenuta, DC or something else.
 
My ole miss buddy is even better-connected than I thought. This was supposed to be agreed upon in principle yesterday and should be finalized this morning. Was planned to be announced at 5pm today but may get pushed back.

Look for the Saban back to LSU rumors to slowly leak out. They have been talking. This guy told me about Nutt being a done deal at 4pm on Monday.

I just wish he had good info on Tech's search!!
 
Regarding Ark, they have plenty of money. My understanding is the Tyson family are big razorback boosters. Kind of like Candler & Woodward for us except they right checks to the athletic dept mostly.
 
I don't believe it for a second. Tuberville is from Arkansas and Jerry Jones is reported to have helped broker the deal BUT Tuberville's agent is notorious for leaking stories in order to negotiate better deals for his client.

I believe Tuberville is just looking for a raise and who can blame him - the way Louder back-doored him with Petrino, he should be trying to hit him back in the pockets every chance he gets.
 
My Awbun co-worker and seaon ticket holder says no way TT is going to UARK. He says it's all posturing to get a better package for his assistants.

He says TT was on a hunting trip until yesterday and was recruting (for Awbunn) yesterday...

Man if this is true then Les is really burning bridges in LA as far as timing of this announcement...he better hope he never needs to cross back over them....I say it is pretty LOW to do that to your players prior to such a big game....Some coaches continue to put themselves ahead of their players. Well as with the rest of this HC craziness time will tell. I always thought that Miles would leave since the MI opening became available...

LMAO...the whole SEC West could get reorganized. This would make it complete:

Ole Miss - > Fires Orgeron -> Nutt
Ark -> Nutt parts ways -> TT
Aub -> TT to Ark -> Muschamp
LSU -> Miles to Mich -> Saban
Bama -> Saban to LSU -> Croom
Miss St -> Croom to Bama -> Doug Williams?
 
I just wish one of those schools would come after Richt....nothing would piss off the UGA fans more than to have Saint Richt leave for more money.....someone flash that man some money....I don't think he'd leave but just throw his name into the mix to rattle their cage a bit would be funny

I don't think Saban would leave AL since he's only been there a year...
 
It might be better than saying 'no comment until after the game' and leaving them all confused. For example, I am glad dRad and Chan didn't wait until after the bowl game.

If Miles left LSU for Michigan I can't see any scenario for him ever returning, so I don't think burning bridges is much of an issue. Personally I like the idea that he told his players before it was leaked to the media through someone else, I think that's the exact opposite of 'LOW'.

I don't think that the "low" part was telling his players this early. I think that the "low" part is pursuing another job during the same week as what could be the biggest game of the year for LSU. You CANNOT be totally focused on doing one job so big while pursuing another job.

Of course right now this is all just speculation and rumor but if Les Miles couldn't wait 1 week before working on getting himself a new job then to me that is low.
