And great for Step to recover that fumble, but he was also still covering a receiver about 70 yards downfield wayyyyy - like many, many seconds - after the snap of the ball. He didn't turn around and notice it was a run play until the guy was at about the 10 yard line. When do you suppose the guys are coached to look back and see what else may be going on?

It's a good question, but actually I took it as a positive that he was sticking to his job no matter what.
 
It was man coverage, you back when your receiver looks back. Nonetheless, it was hilarious to watch
 
As chance would have it, if you had it your way, Duke would end that drive with a TD after converting seven more third downs after that play

That was absolutely crazy. The players should be communicating with simple keywords like "run" or whatever that will let defenders know that they can give up the pass rush.
 
It would be interesting to see what another DC would do with these guys.
