Monsoon for the win.

That was a fun game! I was not well prepared for the rain (outside of a flimsy poncho) and left there absolutely soaked.

Ah, never will forget this. Had just started dating my now wife. This was the first game she went to with me, and she was a trooper sitting there in that downpour when I knew she’d rather been anywhere else. She eventually went and stayed in the concourse and I did eventually go get her and we left early 4Q iirc. We went home, cleaned up, and I took her out for a nice dinner. My seats are 222 row 3, the first row was flooded and starting to creep up to the 2nd row. This game, or @Clemson 2017 was the worst weather I ever sat through for a game.

I ruined a camera and a cellphone. My pic was before the ruining, obviously

I remember this game being one that fans finally stood up to watch!

We wore ponchos and had ziplock bags for cell phones, so we were all set. Remember standing there with arms down to let the rain just run off, and stayed mostly dry except for shoes.

We went to Music Midtown afterwards, so it was a pretty wet day all around.

I remember a the crowd obtaining a weird sort of mania during that game. From ‘OH MAN WTF ARE WE DOING OUT HERE’ to ‘WOOOOOOOOO, ITS STILL RAINING. I BET IT CANT RAIN HARDER, HAHA, WRONG AGAIN!!! LFG!!’

Maybe that was just me.

I can imagine with the alcohol sales id feel that way

None of you have ever experienced a bad weather game like the COFH game in Athens in 1974. Cold, wind, rain, and because of the wind, at times the rain was horizontal. It was MISERABLE, but Tech won big, and my dad and I stuck it out to the end.
I certainly experienced it. Cold, wet windy, freezing in the end zone, feeling miserable but loving the ass whipping the Jackets we’re putting on them. Besides kicking their butts, the best part was so many dwags leaving I was able to get out of the end zone into some main stadium seats and slightly less wind and rain. 34-14 warms the heart.

My dad and I were in the upper deck, and I can assure you it couldn't have been worse in the endzone than it was up there. It was the first and only COFH game he attended, and, because it was so miserable, I asked him at halftime if he wanted to leave. He said, no, he was enjoying it too much. I never felt so close to my dad as I did that day.

My dad is 80 years old. I hope to God we can get a home win at BDS this season for him. He was only a few years older than I am now (55 now, 56 in March) last win over the gaggers at BDS. 2009 was just heart wrenching. I am running out of time with dad at BDS, sadly.

I think I was in the west stands, on the North Avenue side that day.
My buddy's dad came with him, so I got my own seats, and I think we went out for his birthday dinner that night.
I did go to Music Midtown one year after a game at HGF/BDS, but I don't think it was this game. (Saw Journey, minus Steve Perry, and caught most of Jane's Addiction's set, which was nothing short of awesome).

This year's Music Midtown lineup must have been put together by a 15-year-old girl. I socially distanced by not f'ing going.
But I digress....

Sales, my ass. During the great prohibition we had to keyster in all the liquor. Real men in those days. Pack a few 100mL bottles away in there and hope they don’t smoosh your chic fil A sammich.

Was there in pretty decent student seats lower level. Remember the mutts were going to the Tangerine Bowl. Someone left a bag of tangerines and as mutt fans streamed out end of the third quarter we were offering tangerines for the price of a nickel a bowl. Got no takers. It was clear their stadium must have been designed by their agricultural engineering students as the water just accumulated as if they planned to divert it for an irrigation project. A great day for Tech!
