Thinking FSU has a ceiling of 8 wins.
Listen, I know we REALLY DON"T KNOW what will happen in 2023. However, from what we saw when Key took over the head coaching duties, this was a better team. We SHOULD EXPECT a better football team and then some in 2023. That's all I'm saying. You could make bank wagering against the 1990 mindset that comes with UM and FSU totals, 14 of the last 18 years. Don’t think, just counter public opinion.
in this case, go under on those plus n-cheat and i would argue louisville also w new hx, over on us and BC. Also would lean over on klempsum.

Agreed.Louisville game is hugely important to decide how season will go.
Have another beer. We had more talent last season than this year. No way we are better than Miami, Wake, Louisville or UNC.Jackets wins: L’ville, SC State, Wake, BG, BC, UNC, UVA, Cuse, Miami
One way or the other (literally) our QB play should be better and that is half of it.Have another beer. We had more talent last season than this year. No way we are better than Miami, Wake, Louisville or UNC.
Clown comment, we are almost always better than UNC. We've owned their ass for a quarter of a century and beat them the last 2 years in a row, despite having TFG as coach on the first one, and Key taking over mid season on the 2nd and having to play with our 3rd and 4th string QBs. They are assHave another beer. We had more talent last season than this year. No way we are better than Miami, Wake, Louisville or UNC.
GT is winning the ACC. I put 50 bucks on it.i got FSU winning the ACC and going to the CFP
And the entire SEC.I wish there was a way for the rest of ACC to go 0-12.
Since there wasn't a link to the article I can only guess as to how athlon did their ratings.Athlon’s preview underscores the lack of talent on the upcoming team. Rating the units in the ACC they have us 12 at QB, 11 at RB, 13 at WR, 12 at OL, 14 at DL, 14 at LB, and 9 at DB. That is an average of 12.14. That is 13 out of 14 teams, ahead of only UVA that averages 12.29 and slightly behind BC at 11.7. The only other double digit average is Virginia Tech at 10.4.
They list three preseason all ACC teams. Giving 3 points for a 1st team selection, 2 for 2nd and 1 for 3rd, we finish 14 of 14 with 2 points - they have LaMiles Brooks as second team safety. Tied for 12th are Virginia and Syracuse with 5 points each.
Clearly, our talent level, objectively viewed, is at or near the bottom of the conference. Credit goes to Brent Key for not singing the blues, trashing his predecessor and calling his challenge the greatest rebuild ever. Athlon projects we will go 5-7, 3-5, which means they think we will do better than our talent might indicate. I think 6 to 7 wins is certainly possible, but I will keep in mind that with this roster a 5-7 season would be a pretty good result. I do think we will be beat SC State, Bowling Green, BC, Virginia and Syracuse. I think we have a good chance to get a couple of more wins against Louisville, Wake, Miami and UNC.
Dummy. Coaches don’t win games, players do. We have very few proven good players. How we lost to UVA at home as a night game is concerning.Clown comment, we are almost always better than UNC.
