Look at this dillusional statement:

About a year away from being at a national-title level, the Dawgs have to get more from the receivers, the offensive line has to replace four starters, and the defense has to do its yearly job or replacing several NFL prospects

I thought it would have been slightly higher. Their strong finish in '06 restored faith in a lot of people.
georgia will be a bear for at least the next 3 years.

So much depends on how one finishes. georgia did it, and we didn't.
 
Georgia had an SEC championship and barely lost to West Virginia last season before this season's horrible start. The 8-9 months between the end of one season and the beginning of the next usually doesn't lead to any "momentum" outside of what newswriter's think about you.

Their biggest question is their defense, especially their DL. They brought in a couple of JUCO guys at that postion to shore up their horrible depth at DL. Maybe we'll match up well there with our returning OL, Choice and Cox, but Georgia's still benefits from playing the game late in the season.
