Taylor Bennett actually for the first time this year got some work. I think it will benefit him greatly. But last week we should have played him allot longer then we did and maybe he would have been better prepared for this game. That was a coaching mistake IMO.

And I also hope the coaching staff learned NEVER put Pat Clark on the field again!

Well. I guess that's the glass 1/2 full. You're a better man then me. I see the season as being pretty much over, another barely above 500 campaign, we'll get a good win somewhere along the road, lose a couple of bad ones, and play in the Carquest bowl. Then all us donors will get some queer rah-rah speech about our mighty bowl streak being kept alive.

Sincerely,
Looking forward to Hoops

At least you said the Carquest bowl and not the Nut bowl lol.

Haahahhhahaah ... sadly ... I actually went to the Nut-Gobbler bowl, I happened to be out there visiting a buddy.

taylor b/ freakin sucks. We now know why Reggie was a starter.

you are an idiot. TB had over 100 yards in passes called back because of dropped balls and penalties. If he would have started the last 3 games of last year he would be even better. He did a great job tonight considering he was the only offensive weapon..

go cry somewhere else douchebag.

are you serious?

TB didn't play great and no where in the league of Ryan but his performance was WAY down on the list of why we lost. Our defense had no answer and we couldn't run the ball.

QFT

Anyone that thinks Taylor sucks or that he is the reason we lost is an idiot. He did an admirable job tonight considering the crappy refs and all the dropped balls.

Screw you dust jacket

Dust jacket is right. Taylor did not lose this game for us at all...we couldn't rush, we couldn't defend, and the only touchdown drive we had was put together largely on his downfield passes. If you are bashing him for this loss you need to re-examine yourself.

Sorry but some of you guys are just pussies. We lost one game last night. Taylor had his first real test and didn't come through with flying colors. The OL regressed and has to get their act together. The D couldn't get to the QB and the zones behind the blitzes didn't stop the best QB in the ACC. But it's still only one game. I'll bet you guys gave up after the last time we lost to BC in ATL too didn't you?

I don't know what the rest of the season holds, but we can win every game from here on out if we play to our potential. We may not. But if you've given up already you disgust me.

I agree with you 100% I know nobody likes a loss but if there is such a good thing as a good loss this was it. I think our coaching staff can learn and make adjustments from this game and make us a better team, and TB finally got some much needed game experience. This was the first time all year he has had to throw the ball down field. To me Taylor's timing is just a second or two slow but remember this is a new offense and this was the first game we have had to throw the ball down field.

Bennett had a mediocre performance. He managed the game well, hit his receivers on passes he should have hit and was just over 50% passing. He didn't have any interceptions and started to finally get into the vertical passing stuff later in the game.

This team is NOT going to win any championships if we continue to be forced to throw the ball.

Getting back to the original title of this thread, "Good things from [Sat] night" I would like to nominate Greg Smith who was playing his rear end off the entire game. Some of the plays he made were on sheer determination and guts. Officials notwithstanding.

And while I'm typing, I will simply voice my extreme objection to calling out anyone who plays for Georgia Tech by saying "they suck." No, YOU suck for saying it.

Valid criticism is inbounds but no one who plays for GT sucks. NO one. /rant

Well, lets hope our vertical game gets going because you can bet the farm that every team we play from here on out will force us to throw the ball. Once again we SEEM to lack a balanced offense.

Also, look for UVA and everybody else to max protect their QB and pick apart our questionable secondary...BC's OC had a great gameplan that was executed to perfection...Hopefully next time Tenuta will adjust.

We played the best team we will play all year Saturday night. If 24-10 is the worst we do all year, I'll be happy. Also, we still control our own destiny in our division. Win out and we'll see BC in again.

That, and many have stated they only care about the UGA game. Guess the season is only one-game long for them and hasn't even started yet.

Lastly, if GT basketball is what you're waiting for, you must have been even more dissappointment the last few years (as have I).
