Are you ready for some FOOOOOOTBALL???? I really dislike the long hazy days of summer. I have peaked in and out during the summer and tried to keep up with the board. I have not posted very much due to busy schedule, but look forward to throwing in my 2 cents worth every now and again.
Before looking at the schedule, game by game, and predicting, no matter how feeble my attempt may be, let me say that recruiting seems to be going very well at this juncture. Let's all remember that it really does not count until February 2007, but we are off to a good sart.
On to the good stuff, (let me have it if you think I am mis-prognosticating)
09-02-06 The Catholics - whoa baby, this could be a good one, I mean a real good one. This could either jump start us or lead us down a not so good year. (toss-up)
09-09-06 Samford - Why are we playing this game? (W)
09-16-06 Troy - This game scares me. Remember Missouri last year or year before. I forget which one. This game will be closer than we all want I am afraid. (W)
09-21-06 The WaHoo's - Dang we are due a game on Thursday night. I remember the first Thursday night game I ever saw. The real Mover was playing and it was against UVA. If my memory serves me correct we won that night in '84 (I think) and we win this year too. (W)
09-30-06 VT - IMO, the toughest place to play in the good ole USA. I am not sure they have set game time as of yet and hope it is in the day and NOT at night. Blacksburg becomes that much more difficult at night. (toss-up)
10-07-06 Maryland - FAT Ralph comes back to HGF@BDS. Let's feed him a rib and send him packing. (W)
10-21-06 Clempson - This is probably the best "overlooked" rivalries" in the country. Many, many close games over the past 10 or so years as we all know. I am afraid they may have our number this year. (L)
10-28-06 The Candy Canes - Don't you know they will have pay back on their minds this year. All I hear down hear in the "Sunshine State" is how last year was a fluke. I have a feeling we put 'em down again> (W)
11-04-06 The Wolf Pack - What coclor glasses and shoes will Chucky Cheese wear this year. I remember a couple of years back ABC did a BIG pre-game ritual on Chucky and how great he was. We put an arse-whoopin on him that day and will again this year. (W)
11-11-06 The Tar Heels - I would rather play anywhere else than in Chapel Hill. We ALWAYS seem to struggle up there. Do not know why, but we do. (toss-up)
11-18-06 The Dukies - Ted will be in desperate mode due to another bad year and possibly losing his job. He will have his group sky high and will give us a good run for our money, BUT we will survive late in the game. (W)
11-25-06 UGAg - DAMN, I even hate typing that name. SCREW the crotch sniffers. 22 years ago we went in there big underdogs and layed a whoopin on 'em 35-18 and this year we lay another on them. I just hope someone on our team yanks out the hallowed hedges as one BIIIIIIG John Davis did in '84. (W)
Summation:
8 W's
1 L
3 Toss-up's
My expectations are no less than 8 w's.
Okay GT fans let me have as far as what you guys think. I look forward to sharing comments with all of you.
