If past games are any indication, count on this week to be defining.

Three years ago we blew the huge lead
Last year we got beat on the hook and lateral

We rarely win up there - National Championship win the exception. But they've provided some of my greatest memories of Tech wins here....

Great goal line stand on national tv to win over a highly ranked UVa team 4 years ago...
Dez White running right in front of me to lead that great comeback win...
And then that beautiful Thursday night game 2 years ago when we beat the hell out of them 33-0.

The key this week will be who FINISHES - after we tanked vs. Maryland and Wake in the second half we run up against UVa who almost never does anything in the first half but believes they can and do win in the second.

Time to make a stand if you're Gailey and staff and throw this into the latter bunch of memories.

Dukie (our off. line coach) needs to have a good week. Tenuta is one of the only upgrades from last year, I've been impressed with his packages, but that second half vs. Maryland was a revert to some of the poorest tackling I've seen - reminiscent of the Roof/OL days. And hopefully someone this week told our secondary to please come back in the stadium and quit giving a 20 yard cushion. As for BOB, don't get me started. A hint for the man - run the option with Bilbo and let's see if we can't get Clinkscales on the corner.

As for Chan, I'm only hoping he woke up this week with a pulse. Im for preparation over show, but this is one season Im hoping somebody does something like throw a chair through a window, get a 15 yarder, SOMETHING to light a fire! If he's not for firey talks run a tape of Ross's team on that goal-line stand!

We owe these SOB's from Va. some payback. To hell with them and to hell with Georgia too.

Father WASP, to me, the Clemson game was pivotal. This game is, "sink or swim".
