come up with some plays to counter aggressive D. Do not like playcalling in 2nd half.

All in all, this game was very well-coached and extremely well-played with great effort by both offence and defense. FSU simply has too much talent and depth. Would have liked to see some sort of quick-hitting pass across the middle to help keep FSU's rushers more honest.

Also would like to have seen the outcome if the refs hadn't made the awful call of FSU's catch when the receiver was on the ground out of bounds when he caught the ball.

In the end, I am VERY proud of the effort by players and coaches, and look forward to cheering the team on to victory against Clemson. It will be tough to come off these last two games and maintain the tremendous effort the team has shown.

bizzy, I have one. How about BLOCK SOMEBODY!! The problem wasn't play selection is was execution. There's a reason people think FSU might be back. Their defensive players have as much raw talent as anybody in the country. We just couldn't handle their speed and strength. All of the LBs and probably at least half their DL is as fast as our RBs, so you can't go outside. They fly to holes so running inside is tough. And they get a great pass rush on the QB. We did a good job in the first half, but the OL couldn't hold them out in the second.

There is another factor that has not been mentioned. Ball has done a marvelous job as a freshman, but he still has a lot to learn.

He used his speed in high school to get out of tough situations. He has to learn to react even more quickly in college. He did not react quickly enough on some occasions to get out of the grasp of some of the onrushers.

He has not really become aclimated to the speed of all the college players on defense. As the season progresses, he will react more quickly and be able to elude the tacklers better. He will learn to get out of the situations more quickly.
