Option Foobaw

I’m not saying anything with this. I love the current offense.

So cool thing about that play is there was no pre snap indicator of which way the motion was going. The blocking a back went in front of the play. Also no B back so I guess this was really just a double option.

It really looked more like the old counter speed option but had the wrinkle of a give/pull at the start, and then the option of keep ... or pitch to, uh, Derrick Henry ... for the defense to think about.

King could definitely pull a triple option his option reads have seemed spot on so far
King's a baller. I hope he stays with us but I'm feeling he's going to jump ship again. Big 10/something like that. Depends a lot on how the rest of the season goes. We end on a high note, he probably stays. We end stupid he cashes out. Unless of course he has a girl here.

He has already transferred so he would have to sit a year.

He was at a top shelf SEC program with money to spare. He ended up riding the bench.

Right now, he looks like a day one draft pick. Why would he leave?

Can they transfer twice?

Players have to sit out a year if they transfer twice.

I disagree completely. He is here for Faulkner. If he stays King will stay. And he will be NFL ready.

King represents our best recruiting pitch. He is coming from the quintessential NIL school. Our staff has worked wonders with him. If he can keep up the pace, our staff will have one hell of a success story to pitch.

Note: we’ll still need some NIL money

I love our current offense. I also really miss the triple option.its unfortunate, it has the reputation among recruits and whatnot, as well as the rules changes. I never understood the argument that it was boring.
I don't understand why the triple can't be a part of our offense. Get under center and run it. Bring in a wildcat style QB if you have to.

Nah, it was a triple. The first option was a mesh handoff to the RB on the right. The DE went with the RB, so the QB pulled. Then the left RB arced out for an option pitch.

We could use it with our RedZone struggles. We don't have a big back to pound it forward for 3-4 yards so we need to spread it out a little.

Hopefully the coaches will consider it even though half our fanbase would lose their minds seeing us run the option even if it's only 4-5 plays per year.
