Oregon state to run the option?

I think we'll be seeing more option teams if Tech can remain successful and on the national radar. It's only a matter of time. Another season like or better than 2014 and I expect to see a few more P5 programs on the TO train.

There's only one Paul Johnson. If someone in a major conference takes a shot with one of his proteges and is succesful, then the option could gain some new momentum

The PAC12 already has an option based team in Arizona. It is just shotgun based (similar to Ohio St and Miss St, just even more run oriented).

But an under center spread option would work well out there.

That is a pony-ho version of the option where you decide 7 yards in the backfield on the "dive" play and lose 5 yards a good portion of the time. That offense really has no decent dive or pitch option.

No way dude. The longer we stay on the radar the more the haters talk about how much they hate it. An AD's job is to placate the haters.

Exactly. It is a VERY different offense. Unless RR has changed something, his zone read blocking is completely different than what we run. Other than the QB having an option to keep or give, there's not much in common.

I can't tell you how many times I have run a play back from one of those shotgun option teams and seen a safety come up and tackle the RB or QB 3 yards deep in the backfield. I have told folks "the safety doesn't have time to do that on our dive"

We've been on the national radar ever since 2008. We have a national identity and nobody can say GT without also mentioning the TO. If nobody has considered our offense up to now, they never will. I dont even think anybody in the group of five runs our offense outside of the academies?

What language is this

One is where the quarterback under center and he has the option to dive or go to the perimeter, and the other one is where the quarterback has a shotgun and he shoots the DEs to make a hole for the RB to go through.
