On our flight last night to Boston there were several people with GT shirts/hats on.

I spoke to one gentleman who had a Tech tag on his carry on baggage while we were boarding. He said that he worked at Tech (I'm assuming in the Athletic Department in some capacity), and that he thought the team was ready.

Hopefully we will have a nice crowd Saturday.

Looking forward to the trip very much. We leave
today, come back on Sunday. Our flight is set to
take off at 1:00 pm on Sunday but the storm
projects to be over New England about then. We
may be staying in Boston longer than expected.

I really wish I could go. It is tough to get people in college to spend the amount of money necessary to make a trip like this though.

LOL.

First road trip. I love road trips. Boston is a neat place. The team seems like they are definitely ready to bust some heads. Our season starts tomorrow.

You are so right... I can't get my other GT buddies here in Tennessee to shell out the money to drive up there. Too nervous to fly because of the weather issue and the chance of getting stuck up there and missing classes Monday.

Geez, I can barely get them to make the 2 hour drive to Atlanta for a home game.

They suck as GT fans

You've got to get on them. I drive 12 hours round trip at least twice a year and most of the time I'm at work the next morning.

Me too, man. I usually hook up with my uncle and cousins or talk my girl into going with me. She is great at games because she actually watches and has a clue what is going on. She's a multi-sport athlete so I got lucky

Hate to be the one to tell you this; but it is highly likely that your friends are a bunch of nerds. It's not the drive, they just don't want to go to the game.

My friends are guys that weren't smart enough to go to Tech, hahaha!

We ALL fall into the category of White and Gold descendents... except one of us- We MADE him into a Tech fan :D

He's kind of like FES (Foreign Exchange Student) on That 70's Show but he's a white guy from West Virginia.

nerds?? hardly...

they are just fair weather or dont have the $$ to go.

in boston...gonna start pregaming...heard that bc crowds are weak....they brought up a good crowd last year, but then again they were still doing really well and pushing ryan for heisman.

Stupid nerds? now that's sad.:laugher: Of my group of Tech game attendees, I'm on the only Tech grad.

So you're the only nerd in your group? :D

Nah, they're not nerds... frat boys... a bunch of idiots if you ask me... I guess that's why we're all friends, ha!
